California Franchise Tax Board is seeking a motivated individual to join their IT Hardware Asset Management Unit as a Physical Inventory Control Analyst. The role involves managing the inventory of IT and non-IT assets, analyzing asset inventory disposition, and ensuring accurate documentation and tracking of equipment data. Responsibilities - The Physical Inventory Control Analyst daily activities include the inventory of the department’s new and surplus IT equipment such as personal computers, servers, monitors, wireless devices as well as non-IT capital and sensitive assets - Duties also include analysis of asset inventory disposition, tracking and monitoring of products and equipment at FTB, and scanning and maintaining accurate documentation of equipment locations and data reporting through utilizing the IT asset applications - Communication with business partners is key in this position Skills - Experience with one or more aspects of managing the asset life-cycle from intake to retirement - Knowledge of FTB or similar inventory tracking tools such as Fresh Service, or the Configuration Management Database applications - Knowledge of IT Asset Management (FTB Policy File 6000) and Desktop and Mobile Computing (Policy File 2178) policies - Knowledge of data analysis processes, asset management standards and inventory and compliance best practices - Experience providing quality, enterprise-wide communication and customer service to both internal and external customers, including within the department and vendors - Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Access - Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment while demonstrating initiative, integrity, ownership and accountability - Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills - Ability to take initiative, multi-task, handle changing priorities, meet critical deadlines, and use tact and good judgment Company Overview - The Franchise Tax Board is responsible for administering two of California's major tax programs: personal income tax and corporation tax.
