Role Description
This is a part-time entry-level remote role for college intern Literary Agents. The apprentice Literary Agent will be responsible for developing relationships with publishers, reviewing manuscripts, and providing guidance on print or media interview inquiries about the writer's general forecasts, especially sports prognostication non-fiction works. The agent will collaborate with agent associates, publishers, and other literary professionals to negotiate publishing contracts, support the author's creative vision, and assist in developing the author's successful literary career.
Qualifications:
• Integrity in handling sensitive intellectual property and copyrighted material.
• Strong interest in Literary Management with basic working knowledge of online and traditional publishing.
• Competent understanding of literature with a focus on non-fiction works.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively liaise with publishers and other stakeholders, such as online media outlets, corporate sports sponsors, and wagering organizations.
• Strong ability to identify literary trends and assess market potential.
• Experience in assisting author representation or literary consulting is a plus.
• Self-motivated, highly organized, and comfortable working in a competitive team environment.
• Seeking a Bachelor's degree in Literature, English, Creative Writing, sports marketing, or a related field preferred.
Compensation: Standard Industry Commission based on secured deals.
