GEMCO operates coast to coast, holding engineering and construction registrations, licenses, and certifications in more than 30 states.   Position Summary The Traveling Commercial Only Plumbing Foreman is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the day-to-day activities of plumbing crews on new commercial and industrial construction projects. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards, while providing leadership, mentorship, and technical expertise to crew members. The Foreman serves as a key liaison between field employees, project managers, and trade managers, driving efficiency and maintaining compliance with codes, specifications, and company standards. We do not anticipate the need for Technicians skilled with a stronger service background and will not entertain those resumes.    This job requires travel across the United States.    Primary Responsibilities and Duties - Organize, coordinate, and supervise the work of craft employees on plumbing projects. - Assign work based on employee skill level, training, and project priorities. - Provide training and mentorship to apprentices and journeymen to build skill sets and promote career growth. - Review project documents, including contracts, blueprints, and specifications, to ensure accurate execution of tasks. - Coordinate work with other trades and project stakeholders to avoid conflicts and maintain smooth workflow. - Monitor job progress, enforce schedules, and take corrective action to ensure timely completion of tasks. - Conduct inspections of installed plumbing systems to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and quality standards. - Enforce company and regulatory safety policies, ensuring all work is performed safely and efficiently. - Act as a problem solver on-site, addressing technical, logistical, or personnel challenges. - Communicate effectively with project managers, trade managers, and clients regarding project status, progress, and issues. - Perform other related duties as assigned.   Traits/Competencies - In-depth knowledge of plumbing systems and installation practices. - Strong understanding of building construction, materials, tools, and equipment. - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications. - Effective leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams. - Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. - Dependability, initiative, and resourcefulness.   Physical Demands - Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform manual labor for extended periods. - Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in varying weather conditions.
