Role: Lead Backend Engineer (Tech Lead) — Full-time, Remote
Were hiring a Tech Lead to lead backend development and own the delivery of a stable, scalable platform. This is a hands-on role: youll design, build, and ship.
What youll do
- Design and build backend services and APIs for a multi-tenant SaaS
- Own data architecture (PostgreSQL/Supabase), performance, and reliability
- Implement background job processing/queues and integrations with third-party APIs
- Work closely with frontend to deliver smooth end-to-end product flows
- Maintain clear documentation (README, setup, architecture notes)
- Ship consistently with simple progress updates (written + short Loom)
What were looking for
- 6+ years in backend or full-stack engineering (lead experience preferred)
- Strong Node.js/TypeScript and PostgreSQL experience
- Experience building production SaaS systems (auth, permissions, APIs, integrations)
- Comfortable with queues/background processing (e.g., Redis-based patterns)
- Strong communication: clear, structured, reliable delivery
Nice to have
- Supabase experience
- Experience with AI/LLM integrations or automation workflows
- Experience designing multi-tenant systems
- Experience building B2B SaaS products
