Essential Duties and Responsibilities – Other duties may be assigned
- Supports, monitors, and communicates with students as they complete online curriculum.
- Provide supplemental help to students and accommodate the needs of all learners
- Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students
- Sets clear classroom expectations for academics and behavior
- Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curricular goals; establishes clear purpose and expectations for the completion of the online curriculum and communicates these expectations to students
- Monitors students’ academic achievement on a weekly basis and promotes students as they accomplish their learning goals; keeps accurate records of student achievement; prepares reports of progress for students and parents.
- Is available to students and parents for education related purposes
- Monitors students during passing times and lunch.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the summer school administrator

Supervises classroom and students
Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform all job duties in a satisfactory manner. Education and/or Experience:
B.S. in Education, M. Ed. in Education preferred
A valid teaching certificate in the State of Michigan preferred
Teaching experience preferred
Language Skills:
Candidate must be able to communicate effectively in a variety of media with Administrators, Teachers, Students, Parents, and any other member of the organization.
Reasoning Ability:
Candidate must be able to use higher order reasoning skills in order to solve problems and make decisions about increasing the achievement of students in the summer school program.
