Job Description
We are seeking a licensed Structural Engineer (PE) to support residential and multifamily development projects. This role is project-based / contract, ideal for independent consultants or small engineering firms experienced in U.S. building codes and permitting processes.
Remote work is acceptable as long as you are licensed in the relevant project states.

• Georgia
• Florida
• Alabama
• North Carolina
Requirements
Licenses
Required
• Professional Engineer (PE)
Preferred
• Structural Engineer (SE) license
• Multi-state licensure (GA / FL / AL / NC)
Technical Skills
Required Software
• RISA
• ETABS
• RAM Structural
Preferred
• SAFE
• SAP2000
• Enercalc
• AutoCAD / Revit
Structural Design Experience
Candidates must have experience designing:
• Wood framing systems
• Steel framing structures
• Concrete structural systems
• Foundations
• Structural load calculations
Project Experience
Experience with:
• Townhomes
• Multifamily residential buildings
• Churches / assembly structures
• Mixed-use buildings
Typical Deliverables
• Structural calculations
• Framing plans
• Foundation plans
• Structural details
• Engineer-stamped drawings for permitting
Code Knowledge
Engineers should be familiar with:
• IBC
• IRC
• ASCE 7
Must be comfortable responding to city plan review comments and permit revisions.
Collaboration & Workflow
We work with distributed teams and expect engineers to:
• Communicate clearly in English
• Join Zoom meetings when required
• Respond within 24 hours during active projects
Preferred experience with:
• Slack
• ClickUp
• Bluebeam
File & Documentation Standards
Engineers should be able to:
• Follow project drawing standards
• Share files via Google Drive / Dropbox / OneDrive
• Submit organized CAD / Revit files
• Provide PDFs ready for permit submission
