Robinhood’s Security Offices is looking for a security engineer to help support the Brokerage and Say Technologies Product Security functions. The Security Office works with teams across Robinhood businesses to ensure our products and services are secure and our customer’s data is protected. You will be customer focused and reduce friction for users in applying security and privacy features and ensure they get the timely education to protect themselves, their data, and their money. You will aid in influencing business decisions by providing results and analysis from security assessments. You will also collaborate with other teams to ensure that we have appropriate security detections in place for our Brokerage & Say business entities.
We’re looking for tech professionals who are deeply passionate about security and privacy.
Your day-to-day may involve:
Assist with proactive assessments covering infrastructure, secure and resilient architecture, data security (including privacy), identity and access management, application and product security
Prioritize and drive the reduction of discovered security issues, vulnerabilities, and risks by partnering with the business to provide recommendations and solutions
Work with technical leads to develop strategies, programs, systems and tools that enhance our approach in keeping our users and employees safe and secure
Collaborate with sister security teams to help safeguard Robinhood’s data and infrastructure
Provide technical expertise on Robinhood’s Security and Privacy’s solutions, policies, procedures, and standards
Stay up to date on the direction of emerging security and privacy industry trends
Some things we consider critical for this role:
4+ years of experience conducting cyber security assessments
3+ years of experience engineering security solutions
Security domain knowledge across many cyber security disciplines
Experience Threat Modeling applications
Outside-the-box thinking (adversary mentality)
Experience communicating effectively with technical/non-technical and executive-level audiences
Working knowledge of Go or Python for interacting with security tooling APIs
Security automation experience is a plus
Security technical report writing is a plus
AWS experience is a plus
Pentesting experience is a plus
This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and participation in Robinhood’s equity plan.
Base pay is determined by market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Please note, some of our roles are open to additional levels which would impact the expected base pay.
