Job Description:
• partner with Relationship Bankers and Managers to understand client needs and uncover merchant services opportunities
• consult on complex payment needs including assessments, current-state evaluations, customized proposals, and financial statement review
• deliver merchant solutions including software integrations, ecommerce platforms, mobile payment capabilities, and terminal devices
• lead sourcing and prospecting activity within assigned portfolios and markets
• coach and influence banker partners to identify merchant opportunities and drive referral volume
• manage pipeline activity using Salesforce CRM and other cloud-based tools.
Requirements:
• 4+ years of Merchant Services Sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education
• proven ability to drive new business through direct prospecting, sourcing, and closing
• demonstrated success achieving strong sales performance in a metric-driven environment
• strong ability to conduct merchant assessments, analyze payment acceptance environments, and present value-based proposals
• ability to build trusted client relationships and influence decision-makers
• deep understanding of payment processing, merchant pricing, interchange, terminals, gateways, ecommerce, and mobile solutions
• experience reviewing merchant statements and recommending optimized solutions
• ability to coach bankers to identify merchant needs and generate consistent referrals
• strong interpersonal skills with confidence engaging at all organizational levels
• excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• strong presentation capabilities with the ability to deliver compelling proposals to clients and internal teams
• experience using Salesforce CRM or similar tools for pipeline management
• ability to navigate multiple systems and cloud-based tools
• strong organizational skills with ability to manage data, pipeline flow, and timely follow-ups.
