AMS is the leading global partner for SAP / SmartRecruiters implementations, seeking to expand its team of Senior HR Technology Consultants. This role involves leading and delivering complex talent technology implementation projects while providing operational and technical consultation to clients.
Responsibilities
• Owns the delivery of one or more active technology implementations at any given time, performing project management, process design, technology design, change management guidance, business requirements documentation, test plans, data migration strategy design, and training plans
• Creates and manages project plans for technology implementations or optimizations
• Facilitates sprint planning sessions and iterations in line with the overall project approach
• Leads discovery and technology design with key stakeholders, in line with contractual obligations
• Advise on functional and technical integration capabilities, including gathering requirements and liaising between the client and integration developers
• Produces clear and concise design, requirements, testing, and training documentation
• Develops test strategy and creates or manages the creation of test scenarios and scripts in partnership with the technology partner(s) and client
• Creates and manages cutover checklists for tech implementation and optimization projects and lessons learned exercises
• Identifies, documents and mitigates risks, issues, actions, decisions, and change impacts
• Identifies and manages or partners with leadership to manage change requests
• Maintain certification and deep platform SME in two talent technologies with the ability to articulate technology vendor roadmaps
• Support Consultants and Analysts with managing change requests with clients and technology partners
• Proactively seeks out opportunities to take on stretch assignment projects
• Act as a coach and mentor to all individuals in direct reporting line and/or in project support roles, managing so that they are optimizing resources and delivering against strong governance
• Accountability for managing and enabling team members to work in the most efficient way to deliver against projects they own or are supporting
• Takes on mentoring/coaching responsibilities for Consultant and Analyst level roles
• Manages, collaborates, and actively influences senior project stakeholders (manager level or above), client SMEs, technology partner stakeholders, and internal AMS team members across COEs
• Collaborate with clients, peers, managers, and technology partners on innovations, ways of working, and continuous improvement
• Monitor the number of hours used on projects, including projects of direct reports and team members supporting projects under remit, and proactively address and manage with the client, internal, and technology partners, as relevant
• Continuously evolves understanding and expertise in commercial awareness and scoping
Skills
• Hands‑on delivery experience with SmartRecruiters
• Proven experience in leading technology implementation projects (ATS, HR tech, or talent technology platforms)
• Proven experience delivering client‑facing ATS or HR technology implementations
• Ability to produce and maintain clear documentation (requirements, design, test plans, training materials)
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to influence senior leaders and technology partners
• Experience advising on functional and technical integration capabilities and liaising with developers
• Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate risks/issues and manage change requests
• Certified and deep SME knowledge in at least two technology platforms, with awareness of vendor roadmaps and the commitment to train and develop across all other tools
• Experience mentoring, coaching, and managing junior team members
• Ability to deliver training and enablement sessions for clients and internal teams
• Track record of working effectively in multi‑stakeholder, international delivery environments
• Background in consulting or professional services
• Formal project management qualification (PRINCE2, PMP, Agile/Scrum)
• Advanced certifications in relevant talent technology platforms (e.g, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday)
• Exposure to API‑based or marketplace integrations with recruitment or HR tools
• Experience designing and executing data migration strategies from legacy systems
• Familiarity with HRIS ecosystems and broader HR technology landscapes
