[Remote] Mitigation Analyst

The Mitigation Analyst will support FEMA mitigation practices by developing project applications, reviewing documentation, and coordinating with clients and team members. Responsibilities - Draft and develop FEMA mitigation grant applications (BRIC, HMGP, PA mitigation) - Review project documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with FEMA requirements - Meet with clients to gather project information, provide updates, and coordinate deliverables - Collaborate with KB Advising team members on active projects - Review and interpret federal mitigation policy; draft policy memos as needed - Support grant compliance activities, including monitoring and reporting - Assist with business development efforts, including proposal writing and formatting Skills - Bachelor's degree - Ability to quickly learn and understand grant program requirements - Strong writing and communication skills - Ability to work with modern technology tools and platforms - Experience with FEMA mitigation programs (BRIC, HMGP, PA) or emergency management - Additional education in emergency management, public policy, or other programs that show familiarity and interest in KBA's industry - Writing samples available upon request Company Overview - KB Advising is a minority-owned business that was founded in 2020 to provide state, local, and tribal governments with the support they need to effectively navigate federal grants and manage their projects.
