KB Advising is a dynamic grant management and emergency management consulting firm that collaborates with various government entities to manage federal funding. The Mitigation Analyst will support FEMA mitigation practices by developing project applications, reviewing documentation, and coordinating with clients and team members.
Responsibilities
- Draft and develop FEMA mitigation grant applications (BRIC, HMGP, PA mitigation)
- Review project documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with FEMA requirements
- Meet with clients to gather project information, provide updates, and coordinate deliverables
- Collaborate with KB Advising team members on active projects
- Review and interpret federal mitigation policy; draft policy memos as needed
- Support grant compliance activities, including monitoring and reporting
- Assist with business development efforts, including proposal writing and formatting
Skills
- Bachelor's degree
- Ability to quickly learn and understand grant program requirements
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Ability to work with modern technology tools and platforms
- Experience with FEMA mitigation programs (BRIC, HMGP, PA) or emergency management
- Additional education in emergency management, public policy, or other programs that show familiarity and interest in KBA's industry
