They are seeking a motivated legal assistant to help attorneys deliver exceptional representation to clients navigating difficult moments.
Responsibilities
- Calendar and track litigation deadlines, court dates, and case milestones to keep our team ahead of every matter
- Manage and organize case files, documents, and correspondence across our docket
- Conduct client intake and interviews, serving as a compassionate first point of contact for new and prospective clients
- Draft basic litigation documents, correspondence, and other materials under attorney supervision
- Support attorneys across a focused caseload of employment matters, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage & hour claims
- Collaborate with a tight-knit team that values precision, responsiveness, and creative problem-solving
Skills
- Experience in a litigation support or legal assistant role
- Familiarity with California state and federal court procedures and deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Empathy and patience when working with clients navigating difficult situations
- Commitment to social justice and employee rights
- Self-motivated with strong independent work capabilities
