The Contractor Relations Specialist plays a central role in supporting independent contractors by ensuring they have the necessary information and tools to perform effectively, while also maintaining high service standards and coordinating between various teams.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily reviews of key performance indicators and service activities; perform outreach and escalate issues as needed
- Manage payment inquiry queue, resolving straightforward issues or routing them appropriately
- Review contractor payment reports regularly, including payments, balances, and digital wallet transactions
- Monitor and update contractor credentials such as registrations, driver’s licenses, and insurance documentation
- Ensure contractor profiles are accurate and communication preferences are aligned
- Maintain logs of active issues, ensuring follow-up until resolution
- Respond to contractor notes and inquiries in internal systems; escalate as appropriate
- Handle urgent contractor support calls and determine resolution paths
- Manage actionable emails including affidavits, job questions, and payment requests
- Assist with sourcing contractor registrations and documentation from county offices
- Support recruitment and onboarding through profile creation and system setup
- Participate in special projects and team initiatives as needed
Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in legal or contractor management
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive problem-solving ability
- Strong interpersonal skills for building positive relationships
- Attention to detail in documentation and operational standards
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM systems
- Analytical skills to interpret data and trends for informed decisions
