GSI is a private-equity-backed, high-growth D2C consumer company seeking a visionary Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead marketing as a core value-creation engine. The CMO will own the entire marketing stack, lead a high-performing team, and be responsible for the P&L of all growth and retention initiatives, focusing on scaling the customer base and building a lasting brand legacy.
Responsibilities
• Scale the D2C growth engine across acquisition, conversion, retention, and LTV
• Lead direct-response performance marketing while strengthening brand equity and co-marketing partnerships
• Own core KPIs including CAC, ROAS, conversion, AOV, LTV, churn, and contribution margin
• Build and lead a high-impact marketing organization (performance, creative, lifecycle)
• Provide clear, data-driven reporting to executive leadership and PE sponsors
Skills
• 10+ years in marketing with 5+ years in a leadership role (VP or above)
• Must have experience with DTC subscriptions (recurring ongoing purchases)
• Proven success scaling a brand with a focus on sustainable profitability and P&L accountability
• Strong expertise across paid media, creative optimization, lifecycle marketing, growth, retention, and analytics
• Advanced ability to interpret complex datasets and make data-backed decisions
• "Player-coach" mentality: strategic thinker who is also execution-focused
