Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Carrington Holding Company, LLC is a holding company involved in asset management and real estate services. They are seeking an Administrator, Database, I to manage the deployment, implementation, and administration of databases, ensuring stability and support for all database environments. Responsibilities - Responsible for all activities related to the deployment, implementation, and administration of databases including control, maintenance, and support of all database environments and related applications - Monitor SQL Server health, jobs, storage, CPU, memory, and I/O for both SQL in Azure VM and Azure SQL environments to ensure stability - Execute routine database maintenance tasks including backups, integrity checks, and scheduled jobs to support system reliability - Troubleshoot basic database, job, and connectivity issues and escalate complex problems to senior team members for resolution - Support database deployments, code releases, and configuration changes in accordance with established change management processes - Maintain and update database documentation including runbooks, configurations, and operational procedures - Respond to production support requests and service desk tickets to ensure timely resolution of database-related issues - Participate in on call rotation Skills - Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server architecture, database objects, and relational database concepts including tables, indexes, and join - Basic knowledge of database backup, recovery models, and routine maintenance processes - Familiarity with SQL Server Agent jobs, scheduling, and monitoring concepts - Basic understanding of database security concepts including logins, roles, and permissions - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Ability to write and troubleshoot basic T-SQL queries for data validation and issue investigation - Ability to make decisions that have moderate impact on the department's credibility, operations, and services - Ability to multi-task in a production support environment with attention to accuracy and timeliness - Strong attention to detail in executing tasks and reviewing results for accuracy - Ability to perform job duties in timely manner and meet service level agreements and timelines - Ability to work effectively within a team environment and supports shared operational responsibilities - Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical work experience - 0–2 years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server or relational databases in a professional or an academic environment - Microsoft Azure database experience a plus Benefits - Comprehensive healthcare plans for you and your family. - Plus, a discretionary 401(k) match of 50% of the first 4% of pay contributed. - Access to several fitness, restaurant, retail (and more!) discounts through our employee portal. - Customized training programs to help you advance your career. - Employee referral bonuses so you’ll get paid to help Carrington and Vylla grow. - Educational Reimbursement. - Carrington Charitable Foundation contributes to the community through causes that reflect the interests of Carrington Associates.
