About the position The Registered Nurse-First Assist (RNFA) plays a critical role in the surgical team by assisting the surgeon during operations to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes. This part-time position involves practicing peri-operative nursing, which includes conducting assessments before surgery and evaluating care post-operation. The RNFA collaborates closely with the surgical team and is responsible for independent nursing actions during the intra-operative phase. Requirements • Graduate from an accredited nursing school accepted for licensure in the state of practice. , • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice is required. , • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. , • First Assist experience is preferred. , • Certification of First Assist is preferred.
