Cerity Partners is seeking a full-time Associate to join the Real Assets team within their OCIO group. The Associate will play a critical role in managing and investing client portfolios with a primary focus on the Real Assets component, providing exposure to both private and public markets.
Responsibilities
- Proactively assist senior staff with the investment function – sourcing primary and secondary fund opportunities, direct co-investments, executing due diligence processes on new investments, developing and maintaining models and spreadsheets, and assisting with general portfolio management responsibilities
- Assist in managing existing investments and generating analysis on client portfolios
- Conduct specialized research on industry trends and specific investment strategies
- Create/update models to help track various internal data including – investment pipelines, client returns, client cash flows, and risk information
- Attend annual meetings and conferences and develop a network of outside investment professionals to help the Cerity Partners team with due diligence and industry intelligence
- Support business development activities of the Firm
- Assume ownership of various ad-hoc projects
Skills
- Undergraduate or Graduate business degree with a strong academic track record
- 1-3 years of work experience in financial services; asset management experience a plus
- Understanding of capital markets, investment theory and practice, and the investment management industry
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Positive outlook, attention to detail, and strong work ethic
- Comfortable with global business travel
- CFA designation, or progress towards CFA credentials, is strongly preferred
