Job Description:
• Underwrites new and renewal property and casualty business
• Analyzes policy forms, broker endorsement requests, and submitted documentation
• Determines whether to accept, modify or decline a risk
• Determines appropriate coverage limits and insurance premiums
• Delivers services for new property and casualty business and renewals
• Examines, identifies, and evaluates exposures
• Provides premium forecasts and business plans
• Maintains existing broker relationships
• Builds professional, long-term relationships with brokers
• Creates opportunities for new business
• Executes marketing activities, attends seminars and training
• Stays informed about industry trends
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Risk Management, Actuarial and Business Administration required
• 5+ years of experience in Property and Casualty Underwriting
• Must meet minimum requirements for state P&C and/or surplus line licenses
• Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) is a plus
