Mobile Application Developer – React Native (Contract)

The Mobile Application Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cross-platform mobile applications using React Native, ensuring solutions are scalable, performant, and aligned with client requirements and business objectives.
The ideal candidate will possess strong foundational mobile development skills, experience working in a React Native environment, and the ability to translate functional requirements into high-quality applications, be easy to work with, and an overall problem solver.
Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native for iOS and Android.
• Translate functional and technical requirements into clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including architects, backend developers, and project managers, to deliver cohesive solutions.
• Integrate mobile applications with APIs, backend services, and third-party libraries.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve defects across the mobile application stack.
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and responsiveness across devices.
• Follow established development standards, documentation practices, and version control processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and frameworks.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1–4 years of experience in mobile application development.
• 2+ years experience developing applications using React Native.
• Familiarity with iOS and Android platforms, including deployment processes.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with backend services.
• Understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and responsive design.
• 2+ years experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal technical teams.
