Trilon Group is seeking a Landscape Designer for their Atlanta location. The role involves working on diverse landscape architecture projects with a focus on community engagement and environmental sustainability. Responsibilities - Work on the design of a variety of projects - Concept-level design on efforts such as Complete Streets or greenway corridor studies - Detailed development of construction documents, cost estimates, and specifications for parks - Specific project work may involve shared use path design and feasibility, on-street bikeway design, wayfinding signage design, streetscape design, natural surface trail design, park and open space design, tactical urbanism, and urban design - Think at a variety of scales from the systems-level down to specific sites or intersections - Collaborate with our planners, engineers, graphics designers, outreach specialists, and data analysts Skills - Passion for Alta's mission-driven work - Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture, architecture, urban design, or a related field - 1-2 years of experience in relevant field - Desire to collaborate and participate in multidisciplinary teams - Prior internship or other professional experience in transportation planning or design - Adobe Creative Suite proficiency- InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop in particular - AutoCAD proficiency - Basic knowledge of multimodal transportation planning practices and trail design standards - Effective oral, written, and graphic communication skills - Ability to lead, prepare, and contribute to the preparation of plans, reports, memos, and presentation materials - Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint - Ability to independently work on multiple projects and complete tasks at a high level of quality - Ability to participate in public outreach or conduct site visits - Basic understanding of ArcGIS Pro - Digital rendering and hand sketching skills - 3-D Modelling and Animated Renderings of Models (Program knowledge could include City Engine, Rhino, Lumion and/or Sketchup) - Experience in Adobe After Effects a plus - Ability to prepare graphics and maps - Master's degree in a related field - Consulting experience - Membership in a professional practice organization - Specific experience planning and designing multimodal transportation projects or trail design Benefits - Medical: PPO or HSA medical plans, Alta pays 75% of the cost - Dental/Vision: PPO, Alta pays 90% of the cost - Life Insurance: Alta pays 100% of the premium for life and AD&D, equal to your base compensation - 401(k): Alta provides a match up to 3% - PTO: 21 days accrued annually to start - Holidays: 11 total company paid holidays - Paid Parental Leave/Short-Term Disability - Additional Benefits: Wellness reimbursement up to $800 annually, Alta Gets Around benefit of up to $900 annually, 5-year travel award, and professional development opportunities Company Overview - Trilon Group offers career paths, spanning technical, project management, business management, business development, and operations.
