About Our Virtual Nursing Care Team Our Virtual Nursing Care team is dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients, members, and families through innovative virtual nursing practices. You'll collaborate with our Virtual Care Team to ensure that our patients receive seamless, high-quality care that meets their unique needs. Key Responsibilities Provides virtual nursing care to patients within your scope of practice, utilizing the nursing process to assess health status, establish nursing diagnoses, and develop, implement, and evaluate nursing plans of care. Monitors electronic messaging related to patient and provider requests and inquiries, managing messages as needed, and responding timely and effectively to resolve patient requests and concerns. Applies advanced assessment and critical thinking skills to assess and triage patients virtually, via telephone, secure email, or other available electronic tools. Evaluates emergency situations and initiates appropriate nursing interventions, leading the nursing response to medical emergencies and ensuring the readiness of the Virtual Care Team. Directs other clinical support staff in the delivery of patient care, serving as a role model for quality and service, and as a resource, coach, and mentor for other members of the Health Care Team. Assesses patient and family health education needs, provides health teaching and counseling, and evaluates the effectiveness of the education process. Accurately documents patient data, actions, interventions, and patient response according to established guidelines and policies. Participates in quality improvement activities and/or initiatives, serving as an advocate for the patient and facilitating transitions and coordination of care across the continuum. Consistently supports compliance and the Principles of Responsibility (Kaiser Permanente's Code of Conduct) by maintaining patient confidentiality, protecting organizational assets, acting with ethics and integrity, and adhering to applicable laws, regulations, and policies. Essential Qualifications Experience and Education To be considered for this role, you must have a minimum of three (3) years of RN experience in a clinical setting and an Associate degree in Nursing. Licensure and Certifications You must be a Registered Professional Nurse licensed in the state of Georgia at the time of hire. Additional Requirements You should possess basic keyboarding skills and have a working knowledge of CRT and PC. Preferred Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred, demonstrating a commitment to advanced education and professional development. Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess excellent communication and critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess and triage patients virtually. You should be able to work effectively in a team environment, directing other clinical support staff and collaborating with the Virtual Care Team.
