**Job Summary**
We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our remote team. As a key member of our customer service team, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, resolving issues efficiently, and driving customer satisfaction. **Responsibilities**
As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:
* Initiating monthly service calls to low-volume accounts in the local geographic area
* Updating customers on new programs, promotional activities, products, and services, as well as inquiring about and resolving current issues or unresolved problems
* Assisting customers with problems such as missed shipments, price adjustments, and backorders, striving for prompt resolution
* Frequently working with field sales associates in coordinating special orders, accepting quotations, typing, and manufacturer calls
* Collaborating with warehouse associates, customers, and field sales associates to ensure smooth order processing
* Processing all phone, fax, mail, email, and verbal orders from customers
* Providing customers with accurate answers to questions and complaints regarding products and services, escalating issues to the Customer Service Supervisor in a courteous manner
* Performing data entry for purposes such as processing orders, accessing previous orders, and special orders, and providing customers with current prices
* Researching inquiries as requested and assisting customers with backorders by offering substitutions and alternatives whenever possible
* Communicating with all departments within the Distribution Center as well as field sales associates
* Serving as a liaison between customers and field sales associates
* Making suggestions and recommendations to the Supervisor in an effort to continually improve customer service operations
* Complying with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules, and regulations
* Performing related duties as assigned
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* A broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences, or similar vocations, typically obtained through completion of a four-year Bachelor's Degree program, technical vocational training, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
* Normally requires less than one (1) year directly related experience
* Strong customer service skills
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Good decision-making skills
* Good analytical skills
* Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
* Ability to resolve customer issues quickly and creatively to improve customer satisfaction
* Familiarity with ABC products, services, and pharmaceutical distribution operations
* Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and inventory management systems
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Bilingual (Spanish) skills are highly preferred but not required
* Experience working in a remote environment

**Physical and Mental Requirements**
The physical demands of this role include:
* Sedentary physical activity requiring reaching, sitting, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, and hearing
* Visual requirement for close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus
* 75% or more time spent looking directly at a computer
* 75% or more time spent addressing customer issues on the telephone
* Occasional requirement to stand, walk, or otherwise be mobile
* Ability to deal with stressful situations as they arise

**Schedule**
This is a full-time position, with a standard schedule of Monday to Friday, 10:00 am to 7:00 pm CST, with rotational on-call support required.
