Our Licensing Division is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team. With a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, we strive to create a work environment that is free from discrimination and harassment based upon any legally protected status or protected characteristic. **Job Description** **Key Responsibilities:** * Provide high-volume customer service to licensing applicants in person and via phone, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. * Process applications, payments, and other documents, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. * Perform routine data processing functions, recording, researching, checking, and maintaining records, as well as furnishing information to licensing applicants. * Check records for accuracy of information and for conformity with established policy and procedures. * Assist applicants with outreach to other city agencies, as well as interagency communication to help resolve issues pertaining to their license. * Answer telephone calls, emails, and written correspondence, communicating applicant information in a clear and concise manner. * Attend seminars, meetings, and/or trainings to stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices. * Perform other relevant and related Licensing tasks as assigned when needed. **Qualifications:** * A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization. * One year of satisfactory clerical experience, preferably in a customer-facing role. **Skills Requirement:** * Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously. **Additional Information:** * The City of New York is an inclusive equal opportunity employer committed to recruiting and retaining a diverse workforce and providing a work environment that is free from discrimination and harassment based upon any legally protected status or protected characteristic. * This position may be eligible for remote work for up to 2 days per week, pursuant to the Remote Work Pilot Program. * arenaflex offers a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for career growth and professional development. **How to Apply:** If you are a motivated and customer-focused individual with a passion for delivering exceptional service, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
