**Job Summary**
As a Customer Advocate I, you'll be working in a fast-paced call center environment, responding to telephone and written inquiries from our members and physicians. Under supervision, you'll be responsible for conducting research, resolving issues, and providing accurate and objective information in a prompt and professional manner. This role requires excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Respond to telephone and written inquiries from members and physicians in a prompt, accurate, and objective manner
* Conduct research to resolve issues and provide accurate information
* Spend approximately 85% of scheduled time on the phone, according to business needs
* Use data entry and typing skills to update member information and resolve issues
* Develop and maintain a strong understanding of arenaflex's products and services
* Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex issues and improve customer satisfaction
* Participate in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge
**Essential Qualifications**
* High school diploma or equivalent
* 6 months of customer service experience or 6 months of experience in an office environment
* Data entry and/or typing experience
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
* Analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions
* Ability to spend approximately 90% of scheduled time on the phone, according to business needs
* Ability to sit for long periods of time with scheduled breaks
**Preferred Qualifications**
* 9 months of customer service experience
* Experience working with various lines of business, including CDHP, Medicare, Wellness, and Disease Management
* Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
* Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to change
* Referral preference given to applicants able to take and meet testing criteria
