They are looking for an Entry Level Structural/ Jr. Engineer to join their team, where the candidate will work on various projects, perform structural analysis and design, and collaborate closely with other professionals in the field.
Responsibilities
- Perform increasingly complex calculations and analysis as the structural design is developed
- Work with Designers to get the structural requirements communicated on paper and in the model
- Develop a solid foundation in the fundamentals of Structural Engineering, gaining experience in multiple subject areas
- Learn how Structural design integrates with and impacts other disciplines
- Develop understanding of principles of analysis and design of vertical and lateral structural systems in compliance with applicable codes and standards
- Assist in the performance of structural analysis and design for projects
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering, with a clear emphasis on Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification
- 0-3 years relevant work experience
- This position is considered hybrid and will require you to work in the local office or project site a minimum of 2 days per week
- Internet service with a MINIMUM speed of 25Mbps download/10Mbps upload as required to effectively meet project performance requirements (higher internet speed is recommended)
- MS degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering
- Previous relevant internship experience in Structural Engineering, preferably with experience analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures
- Experience with STAAD, Navisworks, and Bluebeam
- Familiarity with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC
