Salary: $9.00 Per Hour WESTLAKE DSW - Morning/Evening Shift (16-24 Hrs Weekly) FULL JOB DESCRIPTION: @Southwest Louisiana Independence Center (@SLIC) is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSW) to provide care 16-24 hrs. weekly. The available shift schedule would be as followed: • Every other Monday: 2:00 PM 10:00 PM • Every other Friday: 6:00 AM 2:00 PM • Every other weekend: 6:00 AM 2:00 PM This would be for a female with an intellectual disability (no physical restrictions), in the Westlake area. The candidate must have a valid drivers license, dependable vehicle with up-to-date auto registration/insurance & inspection, to transport the consumer to community outings and appointments. Med class training (provided by and at SLIC) will also be needed, for this is a med delegated home. The Direct Support Professional is responsible for the physical care of our clients who may no longer be able to take care of themselves due to age, illness, injury, surgery, or disability. The ideal candidate must be able to care for our clients and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect.
