Pharmacy Technician ($22/Hr, Remote/Must be local to Texas)
Equity Staffing Group is currently staffing Pharmacy Technicians for remote work in Texas. Must be local and licensed in Texas. This is contract work with a Fortune 100 organization. Position: Pharmacy Technician (Texas) Location: Remote/Texas Duration: 3 Month contract to start, potential for extension and/or conversion to FTE Rate: $22.00/Hr Start Date: ASAP Important: Must be local/licensed in Texas Responsibilities: Position: Pharmacy Technician Location: Telecommuter This position supports clinical pharmacy programs such as the Electronic Prior Authorizations services. The technician will complete prior authorization questions for the provider using chart review and outreaches to the provider to submit the case questions to the payers. Minimum Qualifications: • Education: High School diploma or GED • Experience: 6+ months in pharmacy, call center, or customer service • Licensure: TSBP Registered Pharmacy Technician • Skills: Strong communication skills, multitasking, critical thinking, data entry, and computer proficiency (Word, Excel, etc.), (auditing experience or multi-lingual (ex. English/Spanish) a plus Responsibilities: For EPA, complete prior authorization questions within EMR and external websites for providers. Tech will review charts, outreach providers & patients to obtain documentation to support the case. Contact payers to follow-up on pending cases. Contact pharmacies for coordination. Techs will monitor and address inbox & phone calls. Ideal Candidate For EPA - experience with prior authorizations, great reading comprehension & writing skills, critical thinking, quick learner. Current Team & Culture: The ePA Team consists for 15 technicians and 1 pharmacist. The ePA team services is expanding and temporary staffing is needed to support the growth. The team is highly knowledge and efficient and similar contributions are expected from all team members & contingent staff. The team is patient-centric and takes pride in being able to provide excellence to providers and patients.
