ORC is a respected right-of-way acquisition firm that focuses on infrastructure and utility projects. They are seeking a Utilities Permit Agent to identify required permits, conduct research, and ensure compliance with permitting regulations.
Responsibilities
- Identify all required permits for road crossings, foreign utility crossings, rail crossings, water crossings, and special/conditional use scenarios
- Conduct in-depth research using online databases, courthouse records, and recorded documents to determine permitting requirements
- Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to perform property research and maintain accurate mapping and data records
- Apply knowledge of real property concepts and instruments to ensure compliance with permit-related regulations and documentation standards
Skills
- Minimum of one (1) year of Utility Permitting or a related field
- Must have experience working with or within a state's Department of Transportation
- Must be proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Must have an iOS or Android smartphone to be able to access ORC's systems
- Valid Driver's License
- Electric transmission/distribution experience
