The Technical Quality Supervisor (TQS) is a field-based quality leadership role with a primary focus on OEM Services, while also supporting Commercial Hail quality control operations as needed. The TQS provides rapid-response oversight of KhS technicians and third-party/subcontracted technicians, ensures strict adherence to OEM- or KhS-defined workflows and quality standards, and serves as KhS’s on-site quality authority.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide rapid-response quality oversight for OEM-directed rework, quality containment, retrofit, and in-process repair operations
- Enforce compliance with OEM- or KhS-defined repair workflows, processes, and quality standards
- Conduct hands-on quality inspections to identify non-conforming repairs and process deviations
- Address quality issues directly with technicians through immediate corrective instruction
- Identify substandard or non-conforming repairs and determine root causes related to technician technique, workflow adherence, tooling, materials, or training; document all findings clearly and accurately for escalation and follow-up
- Perform hands-on repairs during heavy repair loads
- Independently complete small rework or retrofit projects
- Provide quality control oversight for Commercial Hail repair operations
- Conduct inspections to ensure hail repairs meet KhS workmanship standards
- Identify workmanship trends and training gaps
Leadership, Mentoring, and Coaching
- Oversee and support up to 20 technicians, including KhS employees and third-party/subcontracted technicians
- Provide leadership, coaching, and daily direction to team members.
- Set clear goals, performance expectations, and development plans aligned with organizational priorities.
- Conduct performance evaluations and recommend appropriate actions including promotions, development plans, corrective action, and terminations.
- Determine staffing needs, interview candidates, and make hiring recommendations.
- Build an inclusive, collaborative team environment that values diversity of thought and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 5+ years of experience in automotive mechanical/body repair knowledge and quality, or compliance
- 3+ years of management experience managing a team
- Strong attention to detail with proven ability to verify part accuracy, condition, and documentation.
- Proficiency in relevant software systems preferred Microsoft applications
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage multiple vehicles, orders, and follow-ups simultaneously.
- Self-motivated with strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and prioritization abilities.
- Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Resourceful and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with technicians and internal stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- Fast-paced environment requires high accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.

Physical Job Requirements
- Continuous viewing from and inputting data to a computer screen.
- Role involves sitting/standing/walking throughout the day in a shop or office environment.
- Occasional lifting/carrying of parts and boxes (typically up to 25 lbs; may vary by part size/packaging).
- Ability to travel extensively – 75% of travel or more. Must obtain Passport if not already in possession
- Valid, clean driver’s license is required

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
The starting compensation is expected to be:
$65,200.00 - $81,500.00/ Year
