Telematics exposes the car's internal ecosystem to the Internet: the car becomes an element of the Internet of Things (IoT), offering new levels of access to its functionalities and a platform for building additional features in areas such as safety, security, and comfort. You will work with concepts like Telematics, 5G and V2X (vehicle-to-everything). You will be part of a team responsible for developing the software components for a Telematics team, with one of the next specialisations: Telematics Applications, Connectivity, Calls, Security, SW Update, System, and AUTOSAR integration. What You Will Do Develop software components (C++/Linux) Analyse and assess customer specifications; develop components based on this information Take care of communication with the customer in their domain Plan the features and tickets according to project milestones; create tasks for the planned features according to Agile methodology Take care of communication between team members and project management The quality of software components is in accordance with the standards specified in BMS Create reports for the project, local management and customer Resolve inconsistencies in case of unclear technical requirements in the specification by direct communication with the customer Make functional testing of the developed source code, and participate in code review sessions Defect analysis and scenario validation Act according to the standards of the automotive industry, in-car applications and software development processes Evaluate change requests from the customer and identify the risks Review the changes and propose adjustments if required Familiar with security concepts in Linux/Embedded Create and maintain code design documents at the high level and/or component level What You Need to Be Successful At least 4+ years of experience as a software developer Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other relevant (IT-connected) specialisations Solid knowledge of C++, proven by 4+ years of experience. Linux expertise Experience in developing embedded applications Knowledge in inter-process communication, threading Working knowledge of software development processes Working knowledge of embedded operating systems Knowledge of Security concepts Good English skills in spoken and written English Experience in working with (external) customers/OEMs Self-driven, autonomous and systematic way of working and able to help others achieve this Analytical skills and good system understanding in the embedded SW area Knowledge in agile software development methods (e.g. V-Model, ASPICE, etc.) Knowledge of agile methods and frameworks (SAFe) is an advantage Bonus Points if You Have Automotive experience Security knowledge (Sandboxing, encryption) Atlassian tools (Confluence, Jira, Stash) What Makes You Eligible Willingness to travel (0-20% of time), depending on the project necessities What We Offer Flexible work environment Access to employee discounts on world-class Harman and Samsung products (JBL, HARMAN Kardon, AKG, etc.) Extensive training opportunities through our own HARMAN University Competitive wellness benefits “Be Brilliant” employee recognition and rewards program An inclusive and diverse work environment that fosters and encourages professional and personal development #LI-DP3 #LI-Remote
