Senior Brand Strategist / Creative Director for Confidential Premium Travel Membership Platform - Contract to Hire

We are looking for a senior brand strategist / creative director to help define, refine, and finalize the public-facing brand for a confidential premium membership platform. This is not just a logo project. We need someone who can take an already-developed concept and turn it into a clear, premium, persuasive, and highly recognizable brand system. A meaningful amount of the platform vision already exists, and we are looking for a strategic creative partner who can elevate it, simplify it, and make it much easier for the public to understand and get excited about. The platform includes a parent brand and multiple connected offerings under one ecosystem. One of the biggest opportunities in this project is helping people quickly understand the overall value of the platform, how the ecosystem fits together, and why they should want to join as paid members. What we need help with We are looking for someone who can lead or strongly contribute to: Brand positioning and strategic clarity Parent brand + sub-brand architecture Naming-system consistency across the ecosystem Logo development or refinement for the parent brand and connected offerings Premium visual identity direction Brand voice, tone, and messaging framework Homepage and public-facing messaging that is clear, compelling, and conversion-oriented Member-facing value proposition clarity Refinement of two existing ambassador-style character concepts into something Premium, tasteful, and strategically useful Brand application guidance across website, platform, and marketing materials What success looks like Success in this role means helping us create a brand that feels: Premium Modern Influential Memorable Easy to understand Emotionally compelling Strong at converting the right audience into paid members We are especially focused on making a multi-offer ecosystem feel simple, exciting, and trustworthy without becoming overly corporate, generic, or salesy. Important creative context We already have two existing brand ambassador / character concepts that are part of the larger brand system. They should not be treated like cheap mascots or cartoon gimmicks. They need to be refined into something elegant, premium, recognizable, and useful within the brand experience. The brand should still feel elevated and sophisticated overall. These characters should support the platform and help make the ecosystem more memorable and human, without cheapening the brand. This is a strong fit if you have experience with Premium or luxury brand positioning Brand strategy and brand architecture Identity systems for parent brands with multiple sub-brands or offerings Simplifying a complex offer into a clear public story Verbal identity / messaging strategy High-converting website messaging Premium consumer, hospitality, travel, lifestyle, membership, or marketplace-adjacent brands Translating strategic brand thinking into practical digital application Deliverables may include Brand audit Positioning refinement Ecosystem brand architecture Logo suite for parent brand + connected offerings Typography and color direction Messaging hierarchy Brand story / verbal identity Homepage and key page messaging direction Ambassador / character refinement and usage guidance Mini brand guidelines Web / platform implementation guidance Nice to have Travel, hospitality, or premium consumer experience Membership or subscription brand experience Marketplace platform familiarity Figma or strong digital collaboration workflow Copywriting strength Illustration or art-direction experience Experience working closely with product or web teams Important note We are not looking for generic logo work or inexpensive surface-level branding. We are looking for someone who can help shape a premium, conversion-friendly brand system for a serious long-term platform. This role is about strategy, messaging, identity, refinement, and real-world application. A substantial amount of the concept already exists, so this role is about elevating and clarifying the vision, not inventing something random from scratch without context.
