Remote Residential Mortgage Loss Mitigation Analyst

Overview Responsible for performing loss mitigation analysis and performance audits within company servicing-retained portfolio. Routinely audit loans selected for post-forbearance and active loss mitigation performance; Work directly with sub-servicer for compliance to company and investor policies and procedures; Monitor pipeline of loss mitigation workouts (forbearance, modifications, short sales, deed-in-lieu) identifying problem loans, clearing roadblocks, and ensuring decisions are made according to investor protocol and departmental policies while maintaining GSE guidelines and timelines; Assesses necessary remedies to address noncompliance; Regularly examine data reports for accuracy, trends, and anomalies; Recommend and implement new monitoring and exception reporting; The duties for Loss Mitigation Analyst include, but are not limited to, those described below. Responsibilities • Works closely with Company's sub-servicer, their systems, and reports • Review and audit sub-servicer for loss mitigation process and performance • Routinely review and monitor sub-servicer loss mitigation pipeline • Work with Management to develop procedural manuals and training materials related to the audit of sub-servicer's loss mitigation performance • Communicate with Management regarding trends, issues, and needed escalation • Demonstrate a good working knowledge of the processes and procedures with the ability to identify and implement process improvement opportunities. • Interact with investors, vendors, and agency representatives as needed Qualifications • 5+ years' recent experience in the mortgage industry • 3+ years' experience in Mortgage Default, including Loss Mitigation experience with FHA, VA, and Conventional loans. • 1+ years as a financial or business analyst, analytical skills that allow for the development of data driven reports and the ability to create Microsoft Excel graphs and charts • MSP/Black Knight experience, Director a plus Skills: • Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize deadlines. • Strong analytical, written, verbal, and critical thinking skills to help solve issues and make decisions. • Detail oriented with strong organizational and follow-through skills. • Ability to work with limited supervision. • Technologically proficient. Education: • Bachelor's degree preferred Min USD $75,000.00/Yr. Max USD $90,000.00/Yr.
