In this role, you will provide network, security, and systems support to maximize stability and functionality within the production environment, while also managing projects and troubleshooting issues.
Responsibilities
- Manage projects and tasks, as assigned, including:
- Tool replacement and upgrades
- Maintain accurate data set in tools
- Deploying new networks
- Integrating tools and authentication methods
- Hardware upgrades and replacements
- Creating and updating documentation
- Perform network/systems support in a Managed Services Center environment
- Troubleshoot, isolate, and diagnose common problems network/systems problems, either alone or as part of a team
- Resolve and manage problems effectively and immediately
- Work in a team environment 7x24x365 with the ability to function independently and discretely during rotating shift work
- Provide systems support functions for client end systems, which includes design, development, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and problem resolution. Follow- through until problems are resolved
- Focus on building your own high-level technical skills including building a strength in coding and automation techniques
- Ability to work overnight shifts on a weekly rotating schedule
- Ability to work remotely and still provide a professional communication experience
Skills
- High school diploma required
- 1-2 years of networking experience
- CCNA upon hire or within 6 months of employment
- Experience/training on one or more of the following: Cisco LAN and WAN Devices, Fortinet Infrastructure systems, RHEL Linux
- Practical knowledge of Enterprise Networking concepts
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
- Experience/training on one or more of the following: Cisco IOS-XE, IOS-NX, Fortinet infrastructure devices, Windows Server and RHEL Linux
- Ability to work overnight shifts on a weekly rotating schedule
- Ability to work remotely and still provide a professional communication experience
- College degree preferred
- CCNA Certification or NSE3 or working towards preferred
