Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
N4 and EVP Systems, Business Domain Model & Ownership
- Lead and evolve the architecture of the N4 and EVP platforms for scalability, high-availability, integration, and security.
- Implement and enhance relational to no-SQL transformations, preferably Cassandra.
- Ensure robust performance and compliance, meeting the demands of mission-critical logistics operations in a high-velocity setting.
- Own the full lifecycle delivery from requirements through deployment and post-production support.
Hands-on Software Engineering
- Write production-grade code, build reusable frameworks, and implement complex business logic using Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, Debezium and Kafka integration
- Advance N4 data models, APIs, and services, powering automation, inventory control, and seamless integrations.
- Test driven development to ensure automated unit and integration tests are carefully designed and implemented as part of the deliverables.
Distributed Systems Mastery
- Architect and maintain both traditional JEE stack, and event-driven, microservices-based architectures using Kafka, Spring Boot and ActiveMQ (JMS).
- Ensure reliability, fault-tolerance, and message integrity in global deployments.
- Familiarity with load balancing scalability concepts in relational and non-relational database models.
Complex Problem Solving
- Lead “war room” sessions to address distributed system failures, bottlenecks, deadlocks, and memory leaks using advanced debugging and profiling methods.
Database & ORM
- Expert in database administration for SQL (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and Oracle) and NoSQL (Mongo and/or Cassandra) platforms.
- Design and optimize highly available schemas for large-scale, high-concurrency transaction volumes.
- Deep understanding of object-relational mapping concepts and efficient data access strategies.
UI Skills
- Guide and contribute to intuitive, data-rich user interfaces for logistics and terminal operators.
- Ensure seamless integration between front-end and back-end architectures.
AI & Analytics Integration
- Architect data pipelines for analytics platforms, enabling AI/ML-based predictive features and operational intelligence.
Security & Data Governance
- Implement and promote best practices in authentication (OAuth2), encryption, and compliance (OWASP), safeguarding sensitive logistics data.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate effectively with both senior and junior engineers, cross-discipline teams (US/India), QA, Product, and customers.
- Engage directly with enterprise customers, including operational leaders and IT teams, to capture business requirements, address technical challenges, and support solution delivery.
- Ensure high-quality documentation, efficient testing, and transparent progress reporting.
Mentoring & Knowledge Sharing
- Mentor and coach engineers of all levels; foster a collaborative, high-performance, and innovative team culture.
