About the Role Our Vision for this Role Practicing the Way seeks a thoughtful, theologically grounded Podcast + Content Producer to shape spiritually rich podcasts and help create formation‑focused materials that move listeners from reflection into practice. This role will manage episode production and guest coordination, craft scripts and show notes, publish episodes, and support development of written companion materials for Practicing the Way’s flagship resources and events. Applicants should be devoted followers of Jesus, committed to spiritual formation and to the mission of Practicing the Way. Specifics for What This Role Does Episode production (40%) - Manage recording sessions, perform content editing and manage episode design, review masters for Executive Producer sign off, and ensure episodes reflect a contemplative, high‑quality listening experience. Guest booking & coordination (15%) - Source and invite theologians, practitioners, and leaders; prepare guests with briefings and questions; schedule and manage logistics and pre‑interviews as needed. Scriptwriting & show notes (15%) - Write warm, theologically grounded episode intros, segues, host scripts, reflection prompts, and detailed show notes that support practice and reflection.  Publishing & metadata (10%) - Upload and publish episodes across platforms, optimize titles/descriptions/tags, provide transcripts, and monitor feed health and analytics.  Resource development & integration (10%) - Able to support special projects as a writer, including creating companion guides for flagship resources and event materials that facilitate spiritual practice. Admin & special projects (10%) - Maintain release calendar, manage guest agreements and asset libraries, and support in seasonal series planning. Skills & Qualities We're Looking For  - Required - 3–5 years relevant experience in podcast production, content writing, or related roles. - Strong instincts for content, storytelling, and theological sensitivity; excellent writing and editing skills. - Experience creating scripts, show notes, and listener‑facing written content. - Familiarity with podcast publishing workflows and platforms. - Able to coordinate guests, manage schedules, and handle basic administrative production tasks. - Commitment to the mission of Practicing the Way and a robust understanding of spiritual formation. - Preferred - Experience working on Christian/spiritual formation content, small‑group resources, or retreat materials. - Prior collaboration with audio engineers and comfort providing editorial feedback on mixes. - Experience producing resources intended for church or small‑group use. Details Employment Type: Part-time employee Time Commitment: 20 hours per week, primarily asynchronous Location: Remote Compensation: $2,500 a month (Note: at Practicing the Way, we're always trying to balance generosity and fairness as we think about compensation.
