About this position:
iWorks is seeking a Junior PMO Analyst to support a federal program. This role will focus on standardizing project delivery, improving governance, and supporting program alignment with strategic objectives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable working in a structured federal program environment.
This position plays a key role in ensuring consistency, compliance, and efficiency across multiple projects by supporting PMO frameworks, reporting, and coordination efforts.
Salary Range: - commensurate with the candidate's skills, experience, location, and qualifications.
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
- Support PMO governance by implementing standardized processes, templates, and documentation practices
- Assist with project delivery coordination and day-to-day program management activities
- Track project performance, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure alignment with program goals
- Maintain project status reports, dashboards, and executive-level updates
- Identify, track, and escalate risks and issues in accordance with established PMO processes
- Support compliance with SLAs, AQLs, and federal program requirements (IT GEMS, JEHR HA)
- Coordinate onboarding and training activities for new team members on PMO standards
- Facilitate communication between PMO leadership and delivery teams
- Assist in project prioritization, approval workflows, and governance activities
- Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives aligned with PMO best practices
Required Education/Qualifications:
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1+ year of experience in project coordination, PMO support, or program analysis
- Basic understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
- Experience supporting project documentation, reporting, and tracking
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting federal or DoD programs
- Familiarity with PMO tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, or similar)
- Exposure to governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks
- Experience with resource planning and capacity management
- Knowledge of IT GEMS program or similar enterprise IT environments
- CAPM certification or progress toward PMP certification
