Job Title: Overnight Dispatch Agent Summary The Overnight Dispatch Agent is responsible for answering incoming calls related to non-emergency discharges, ride requests, and customer inquiries. This role requires projecting a professional company image through courteous and effective phone communication while coordinating trip assignments efficiently during overnight hours. Essential Functions • Answer incoming calls regarding Medicaid-eligible non-emergency discharges, ride requests, and estimated time of arrivals. • Enter and manage trip orders accurately within the computer system. • Provide timely and accurate information to providers, including projected service times. • Identify, research, and resolve customer or provider issues using internal systems. • Follow up on customer inquiries that are not immediately resolved. • Complete required call logs, reports, and documentation. • Organize, plan, and optimize daily and overnight trip route assignments in a cost-effective and efficient manner. • Support other departments and offices with trip assignments and coordination. • Ensure both short- and long-range planning is conducted to identify trips requiring eligibility verification. • Handle all calls and interactions in a professional and courteous manner with members, facilities, and employees. • Follow all company policies and procedures. • Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Required • Previous dispatch experience required. • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. • Strong analytical skills to review schedules and assign resources efficiently and cost-effectively. • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail. • Ability to focus on assigned tasks in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to work collaboratively with internal departments and external facilities/providers. • Strong time management skills. • Ability to take direction well and adapt to changing priorities. • Computer literate with the ability to learn customer service and dispatch software applications. • Strong data entry skills. • Professional appearance and positive attitude. • Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others. • Willingness and ability to work a flexible overnight schedule.
