Details: Onsite Contract Additional caseload details will be discussed on the virtual interview Qualifications Must have NJ School Nurse certification or Statement of Eligibility from DOE Must have active license in NJ Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to students with acute illnesses or injuries, including assessment, first aid, and treatment. Administer medications and medical treatments according to physician orders and school policies. Monitor students with chronic health conditions, such as asthma, diabetes, allergies, and seizures, and implement individualized health plans as needed. Conduct health screenings and assessments to identify health concerns and provide appropriate interventions and referrals. Collaborate with parents/guardians, teachers, administrators, and healthcare providers to develop and implement plans for students with special health needs. Educate students, staff, and families on health-related topics, including nutrition, hygiene, safety, and disease prevention. Maintain accurate health records and documentation of nursing assessments, treatments, medications, and communications with parents/guardians and healthcare providers. Participate in school-wide health promotion initiatives, such as immunization campaigns, health fairs, and wellness programs. Respond to medical emergencies and provide emergency care and support as needed. Adhere to professional standards of nursing practice, ethics, and confidentiality.
