PS&S is a well-established architecture, engineering, surveying, and environmental consulting firm founded in 1962. They are seeking an Entry Level Natural Gas Utility Engineer to work on projects aimed at improving natural gas distribution infrastructure by replacing aging pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Interprets data, searches for records regarding natural gas facilities
- Prepares construction plans including proposed natural gas pipeline installation route
- Conducts field visits to observe site conditions and provide full analysis of project route
- Selects residential and commercial services based on previous conditions and future load requirements
- Follows regulatory compliance with the pipeline safety regulations
- Creates GIS map displaying project limits and details
- Estimates a bill of materials for project
- Prepares Road Opening Permits when applicable including traffic control plans
- Facilitates project status meetings with client
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required
- AutoCAD experience required
- MS Office proficiency and effective communication skills required
- 0-2 years' experience is preferred
- Available to work 40 hours per week initially in person
- Travel is required
- Must be able to work with limited supervision and guidance, both independently and/or as a member of a team
- Self-starter with problem solving abilities
- Civil Engineering is preferred
