Role Overview
As a SAP Basis Consultant (Full-time/Contractor) at K5 Business, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting our clients' SAP technical landscapes. You will ensure optimal system performance, reliability, and security, and you will play a key role in delivering successful SAP S/4HANA and cloud migration projects.
Key Responsibilities

Administer SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PI/PO) and underlying
databases (MaxDB, HANA, Etc.)

Plan and execute system installations, upgrades and kernel patches

Monitor system performance; tune and optimise as required

Manage transports, client copies and system refreshes

Implement high-availability, disaster-recovery and backup strategies

Troubleshoot technical issues across application and OS layers

Collaborate with Basis, Security and Infrastructure teams

Produce technical documentation and handover packs
-
Provide on-call and project-support when required
Required Skills & Experience
-
5 + years SAP Basis experience in multinational environments

Hands-on expertise with SAP S/4HANA migrations and conversions

Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux, Windows and database platforms (Oracle, HANA, MS SQL)

Proven track record with SAP Transport Management and Solution Manager

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native deployments

Solid scripting skills (Shell, PowerShell) for automation

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Qualifications & Attributes
- SAP Basis or System Administration Certifications (preferred)

ITIL Foundation certification (advantageous)
