Overview We are seeking a Medical Documentation Specialist to work with our cutting-edge AI-based transcription platform. The ideal candidate will have expertise in medical documentation, familiarity with various report templates, and the ability to refine AI-generated transcriptions for accuracy and compliance. This role involves working closely with AI-powered tools and healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality, structured, and compliant medical records. Responsibilities ? Review, edit, and format AI-generated medical transcriptions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance. ? Utilize various medical documentation templates (SOAP notes, H&P reports, discharge summaries, operative reports, etc.). ? Ensure documentation meets HIPAA, CMS, and Joint Commission standards. ? Collaborate with AI engineers and healthcare professionals to enhance transcription accuracy and refine the AI learning process. ? Work within electronic health record (EHR) systems to input, review, and update AI-assisted medical notes. ? Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and evolving AI documentation tools. ? Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure AI-generated documentation aligns with clinical intent and patient safety guidelines. ? Assist in improving AI-based transcription models by providing feedback on errors, inconsistencies, and improvements. Qualifications ? Certification in Medical Documentation, Health Information Management, or Medical Coding (CPC, CCS, RHIT, etc.). ? Experience working with AI and NLP (Natural Language Processing) models. ? Familiarity with speech-to-text medical transcription tools and their limitations. ? Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding is a plus. ? Ability to maintain confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations. ? Strong attention to detail, grammar, and formatting skills. ? Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a tech-driven, fast-paced environment.
