The Manager, People Strategy & Effectiveness establishes and leads the People Business Partner (PBP) function within the People & Talent Team. This is a highly strategic role that partners closely with leaders, people managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business strategy into effective people strategies, programs, and outcomes. This role serves as one of the primary people advisors to business leaders and people managers, ensuring organizational design, talent planning, and workforce effectiveness are aligned with current and future business needs. This role is responsible for building a high-performing PBP function that enables scale, drives accountability, and strengthens leadership capability across the organization. Key areas of responsibility include performance management and effectiveness, employee relations and risk mitigation, change and transformation management, workforce planning, and growth enablement through leadership coaching and organizational design. This role also leads complex People & Talent initiatives, partners closely with PeopleOps, and Recruiting, and ensures a consistent, data-informed, and employee-centric approach to people decisions. Key Responsibilities Strategic Partnership & Advisory - Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and people managers on organizational effectiveness, leadership challenges, and workforce decisions. - Translate business objectives into actionable people strategies that improve performance, engagement, and retention. - Influence leaders to adopt best practices in talent management, accountability, and people leadership. Organizational Design & Workforce Planning - Partner with leadership on org design, role clarity, and team structure to support growth, acquisitions, and scaling. - Lead workforce planning efforts, including capacity planning, succession planning, and critical role identification. Performance Management & Effectiveness - Evolve the company’s performance management philosophy and processes. - Coach leaders on goal setting, feedback, performance calibration, and managing high and low performance. - Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance. Employee Relations & Risk Management - Provide guidance on complex employee relations matters, ensuring consistency, fairness, and compliance. - Partner with PeopleOps as needed to mitigate risk while balancing employee experience. Change Management & Growth Enablement - Lead people-related change initiatives including acquisitions, reorganizations, and leadership transitions. - Support leaders through change by providing structure, communication guidance, and coaching. People Analytics & Insights - Use data and insights (engagement, attrition, performance, talent trends) to inform recommendations and decisions. - Identify patterns and proactively address risks related to talent, leadership, or organizational health. Team Leadership & Capability Building - Establish clear operating standards, and ways of working for the People Strategy & Effectiveness function. Cross-Functional Collaboration - Act as the connective tissue between the business and PeopleOps, and Recruiting. - Ensure people programs are scalable, integrated, and aligned across the People & Talent ecosystem.
