Description
At Lighthouse Autism Center, our mission is simple: to bring the highest-quality autism services to the children and families who need them most.
We are currently seeking a Remote Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about supporting families navigating neurodevelopmental diagnoses. This position offers flexibility to join our team either part-time (minimum 20 hours per week) or full-time, allowing you to choose the schedule that best fits your availability while making a meaningful impact within a mission-driven organization.
In this role, you will conduct diagnostic evaluations for young children (ages 2–6) with suspected autism spectrum disorder (ASD), using evidence-based assessment tools such as the ADOS-2, CARS-2, and other standardized measures. You will play a critical role in helping families gain clarity, access early intervention services, and take the next steps in their child’s developmental journey.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations for children with suspected autism spectrum disorder. Completing 10-15 evaluations per week
- Administer ADOS-2, CARS-2, and complementary assessment tools
- Prepare comprehensive diagnostic reports that meet insurance requirements
- Review findings with families and provide recommendations for services
- Coordinate evaluation schedules, waitlists, and communication with the outreach team and Sr. Director of Diagnostic Assessment
- Participate in ongoing professional learning related to ASD evaluations and best practices
- Perform occasional in-person assessments within the region (minimal travel)
Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
- Psychologist with current license in state resides in
- PSYPACT licensed
- Doctoral degree in psychology (PhD/PsyD)
- HSPP endorsement if applicable
- Experience with ADOS-2 and autism-specific diagnostic testing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A family-centered, compassionate approach
- Ability to work directly with children during assessments
