This role requires hands-on experience generating leads for home service businesses (electrical contractors, HVAC, plumbing, roofing, or similar). If you haven't managed lead gen campaigns in this industry, this isn't the right fit.
About ClearWay
ClearWay Electric is a fast-growing electrical contractor specializing in EV charging infrastructure, panel upgrades, and service upgrades. We're also building ClearWay OS, an operational platform that streamlines sales, permitting, and project execution for home service businesses.
The Role
This is a lead generation role first and foremost. Your #1 job is to fill the pipeline with qualified electrical service leads — homeowners and businesses who need electrical work done.
You'll report directly to the founder, manage real ad budgets, and be measured on the numbers that matter: lead volume, cost per lead, and how many of those leads turn into closed jobs. Everything else — partnerships, conversion optimization, local presence — supports that core mission.
We don't expect mastery in every channel. If you're excellent at 1-2 acquisition channels and hungry to learn the rest, that's exactly who we want. This is our first marketing hire — you'll own the entire lead generation function from scratch.
What You'll Own
Lead Generation & Paid Ads: Drive inbound leads through Google Ads, Google LSAs, Yelp Ads, and local SEO. Manage budgets, test creative and landing pages, track cost per lead by channel, and continuously improve volume and quality. You own the lead number and you're accountable for hitting it every month.
Lead Conversion & Follow-Up: Leads only count if they book. Optimize the handoff from lead to estimate: improve response time, follow-up sequences, messaging, and offers. Work closely with operations to increase the rate at which leads become paying customers.
Partnerships & Outbound: Build repeatable referral pipelines with HOAs, property managers, real estate agents, and complementary service providers. Create outbound email campaigns targeting these partners. These channels supplement your paid lead generation engine.
Local Presence & Analytics: Own our Google Business Profile and Yelp presence. Increase reviews and strengthen local rankings. Track CPL, conversion rates, and revenue per lead in simple dashboards so the team always knows what's working.
What We're Looking For
• 2-5+ years in lead generation or performance marketing for home services (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, roofing, or similar)
• Hands-on experience running Google Ads campaigns (required); Yelp Ads or Google LSAs is a strong plus
• You think in terms of leads, CPL, and booked jobs — not impressions, clicks, or brand awareness
• Experience with email marketing and outbound outreach tools
• Executor first — you get things done, then optimize
Bonus Points
• Experience generating leads specifically for EV charging installations or panel upgrades
• Experience building referral pipelines with HOAs, property managers, or service-based partnerships
• Familiarity with CRM/lead tracking systems (ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, or similar)
Compensation
Competitive base salary at market rate, plus performance bonus tied directly to lead volume, CPL, and revenue impact. Strong upside for someone who delivers measurable lead growth. Direct line to the founder with a real ad budget and full autonomy over campaigns.
Why ClearWay
• First marketing hire — you build the lead gen function from the ground up
• Real ad budget and full autonomy over campaigns from day one
• Your lead generation insights will shape ClearWay OS — a product used across the home services industry
How to Apply
Send your resume and a short note covering:
• One lead generation campaign you ran for a home service company — the channel, what you did, and results (lead volume, CPL, or conversion rate)
• What you'd do in your first 30 days to start generating leads for ClearWay
• An example of a partnership or outbound campaign you've built
We value lead numbers and real results over polished resumes.
