Job Description:
• Own the end-to-end character art pipeline in close partnership with animation and technical leadership
• Provide subject-matter expertise on modeling and material approaches
• Contribute to discussions and validation of tools and pipeline for character workflows
• Translate beloved IP into cohesive in-game character expressions
• Work closely with the Art Director and Character Concept Artist to bring the art style guide to life
• Create game-ready 3D character models and materials
• Author and iterate on stylized character hair and tweak geometry of existing costumes
• Help develop and document character-related best practices for the project
• Ensure vendor assets function properly within game engine and conform to style, quality, and technical requirements
• Actively participate in art and design discussions as part of a small cross-discipline team
Requirements:
• Deep experience in Unreal Engine 5
• Master problem-solver balancing technical needs with high visual goals
• Great attention to detail
• Excellent instincts for stylized shape language and flow
• Experience collaborating remotely with internal teams and external partners
• Insatiable learner, curious inside and outside specialization
• Experience playing a variety of both AAA and indie games
• Care deeply about player experience and craft
