Junior Applied AI Specialist

Apply Now
Jr. Applied AI Specialist Work at the intersection of AI and real-world business. Deploy, adapt, and invent solutions alongside AI agents that are genuine teammates. Location: This a hybrid role, requiring 3-4 days per week in office in Columbus, Ohio About Factua Labs Factua Labs builds applied AI solutions — automated content pipelines, lead generation systems, and marketing intelligence platforms — for clients and internal subsidiaries. We don't do AI research for its own sake. We build things that work, ship them, and make them better. Our engineering team operates with cutting-edge multiagent AI systems at the core of our workflow. AI agents handle pipeline execution, content generation, data enrichment, and publishing across dozens of automated processes daily. The humans here design, direct, and refine — the agents execute. About Factua Factua is a marketing automation company that drives digital transformation for top brands. With dedicated full-stack engineering and data teams, Factua builds the infrastructure and intelligence layer that powers modern marketing at scale. Factua Labs is the Applied AI Services subsidiary of the larger Factua holding company. While Factua Labs focuses on building and deploying AI-powered solutions for clients, it is backed by Factua's full-stack engineering and data teams — giving Labs the technical depth and support to move fast and ship production-grade systems. The Role You're the last mile. We build the products and pipelines. You take those systems and put them into practice — working directly with clients and internal teams to get solutions operating effectively in their specific context. Every client has preferences, edge cases, and processes that only surface during real-world use. Your job is to understand those particulars, adapt our solutions to fit, and — critically — collaborate with your AI coworkers to progressively automate and eliminate the manual service work as patterns become clear. This is not a support role. This is an inventor role. You'll identify opportunities, build and prove out MVPs, and turn them into full product offerings with backing from Factua's engineering team. You see a gap, you prototype a fix, you validate it works, you hand it off to scale. What You'll Do Client Implementation Work hands-on with clients to deploy, configure, and optimize Factua's AI-powered solutions Last-mile Adaptation Translate client-specific requirements, preferences, and workflows into system configurations and process adjustments Agent Collaboration Work alongside multiagent AI systems as true coworkers — delegating tasks, reviewing output, steering behavior Automation Expansion Identify repetitive manual work and collaborate with AI agents to systematize and automate it over time MVP Development Spot opportunities in client work, prototype solutions, validate them in practice, and prepare them for productization Process Documentation Capture client-specific workflows, preferences, and edge cases so both humans and agents can reference them Quality Assurance Review AI-generated content, data enrichment results, and pipeline outputs to ensure they meet client standards Feedback Loops Surface patterns from client work that inform product development and pipeline improvements Who You Are Systems Thinker You see workflows as systems with inputs, processes, and outputs — and you instinctively look for ways to improve them. Builder Mindset You want to make things. When you see a problem, you think "how could I build something to solve this?" Comfortable with AI You've used LLMs, AI assistants, or automation tools enough to have opinions about what works and what doesn't. Strong Communicator You can explain technical concepts to non-technical people and translate vague client requests into actionable requirements. Detail-oriented yet Pragmatic You care about quality, but you also know when "good enough to ship" beats "perfect in three months." Self-directed You'll have clear goals but significant autonomy in how you achieve them. You manage your own time and priorities. Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in marketing technology, digital marketing, content operations, client services, or a related field Demonstrated comfort working with AI tools (Cursor, Claude Code/Cowork, OpenClaw, automation platforms, etc.) Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience managing client relationships or stakeholder expectations Understanding of and/or experience building software or automated systems is a major advantage Bonus: Experience with content management systems, CRM platforms, data pipelines, marketing automation, or no-code/low-code tools. What You Won't Need A CS degree (though it wouldn't hurt)— Years of coding experience — direct coding is not a requirement— Prior experience at an AI company— An MBA What You Will Need Genuine curiosity about how AI systems work and how to make them better Willingness to learn in public — you'll make mistakes, and t
