Our portfolio boasts popular brands such as the FreePrints and FreePrints Photobooks apps, the industry-leading SimplytoImpress card and stationery site, and established names like Personal Creations, CafePress, and ISeeMe!. With a global team of over 500 dedicated members spread across multiple offices in the US (Calabasas, CA; San Diego, CA; Woodridge, IL; Minneapolis, MN; Pleasanton, CA) and international locations in China and Europe, we are a dynamic and growing organization. We are seeking a highly technical and strategic Head of Product Development, Mobile to spearhead the vision, execution, and technical direction of our native iOS and Android applications across our diverse brand portfolio. This pivotal leadership role requires a deep partnership with our mobile engineering teams, possessing the technical acumen to critically evaluate architectural decisions, challenge existing paradigms, and drive progress across critical areas such as application architecture, data analytics, performance optimization, and scalability. The Head of Product Development, Mobile will be entrusted with the complete ownership of the end-to-end customer experience. This encompasses the entire user journey, from the initial discovery of our apps through the intricate process of product creation, secure purchase, efficient fulfillment, and timely delivery. A key aspect of this role is ensuring that the physical products delivered not only meet but exceed customer expectations, and that delivery timelines are consistently met, aligning perfectly with promised and anticipated arrival windows. This requires a holistic and integrated approach, considering every touchpoint from customer acquisition and user experience design to platform performance, operational efficiency, and post-purchase engagement. The ultimate goal is to deliver a consistently seamless, high-quality experience that delights our customers at every stage of their interaction with our brands. This is not a role confined to strategy formulation, user experience design, or stakeholder management alone. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable, hands-on experience in successfully shipping and scaling native mobile products within complex, high-volume e-commerce environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for: • Owning and driving the overarching mobile product development strategy, effectively translating high-level business objectives into a clear, technically feasible, and prioritized roadmap. • Leading the comprehensive lifecycle of native iOS and Android features across multiple brands, from initial planning and development through to successful launch and continuous iteration based on performance data and user feedback. • Serving as the primary product management counterpart to our mobile engineering leadership, fostering a collaborative environment to make critical decisions regarding architecture, development sequencing, and resource allocation tradeoffs. • Ensuring seamless integration of mobile features with our robust backend services, APIs, sophisticated analytics pipelines, and core e-commerce systems, maintaining data integrity and functional consistency. • Taking full accountability for the end-to-end mobile customer journey, meticulously mapping and optimizing every step including app discovery, user onboarding, intuitive product creation workflows, a streamlined checkout process, transparent fulfillment visibility, and an exceptional delivery experience. • Guaranteeing that mobile experiences accurately set and manage customer expectations regarding product quality, customization options, transparent pricing, and realistic delivery timelines, thereby minimizing post-purchase dissonance. • Defining, monitoring, and owning key performance indicators (KPIs) for the mobile platforms, focusing on critical metrics such as conversion rates, user retention, application reliability, and overall customer satisfaction. • Overseeing the strategic implementation of analytics instrumentation, ensuring precise event tracking, rigorous data validation, and the generation of actionable insights to inform product decisions. • Collaborating closely with operations, manufacturing, and fulfillment teams to ensure a strong alignment between the product promises made to customers and the actual execution of these promises in the real world. • Leading high-impact, cross-functional initiatives from their initial conceptualization through to successful launch, with a clear accountability for achieving measurable business outcomes and strategic goals. • Mentoring and developing junior product leaders, fostering a culture of execution discipline, strategic thinking, and enhanced technical fluency within the product team. • Maintaining comprehensive ownership across the entire product lifecycle, including the strategic deprecation of underperforming features and the proactive evolution of our mobile platforms to embrace new technologies and user needs.
