Italian is a plus Plenitude On The Road (POTR) is seeking a Head of Operations in E-Mobility to coordinate the operations of its EV charging network in the DAT area. Part of the Eni Group, POTR is a leading charging infrastructure operator in Italy and is rapidly expanding across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and Spain. You will be part of the Germany & Austria Region (DAT) and the Operations Team based in Germany and Austria, with availability for site visits across these countries and occasional meetings at POTR headquarters in Italy and at regional offices in Germany and Austria. You will interact closely with the Backend and Operations teams based in Milan, with regular alignment with the Head of Operations in Milan. You will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of charging stations in the DAT area by monitoring operations, providing technical support, performing remote diagnostics, and managing anomalies in line with contractual SLAs. You will coordinate on-site maintenance and repair activities, oversee both scheduled and corrective maintenance, manage spare parts procurement, and contribute to the development of service processes and technical documentation. You will lead a small operations team in Austria and Germany, reporting directly to the Country Manager Germany & Austria. The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills in German, as well as very good verbal and written skills in English. Knowledge of Italian and other European languages will be considered an advantage. About Plenitude On The Road S.R.L. Main responsibilities: Operations Management & Network Performance - Lead and manage operations and maintenance activities for the charging infrastructure network across Germany and Austria, ensuring high availability, reliability, and operational excellence - Monitor the performance, uptime, and utilisation of installed charging locations, tracking key operational and commercial KPIs - Provide technical support to maximise charging station uptime, ensuring the rapid identification and resolution of operational issues - Debug systems and perform remote diagnostics on field failures, implementing anomaly management procedures in line with agreed contractual SLAs - Coordinate root cause analysis, service, repair, and maintenance activities, acting remotely or engaging contractors for on-site interventions when required - Plan, coordinate, and supervise scheduled and corrective maintenance activities, ensuring timely execution and high-quality outcomes - Order, manage, and track spare parts and technical components in coordination with external suppliers and service partners - Ensure effective incident management and escalation processes for operational issues affecting network performance Network Optimisation & Utilisation Growth - Analyse charging data, uptime, and utilisation metrics to identify performance gaps and underperforming locations - Develop and implement initiatives to increase charger utilisation and customer adoption, working closely with commercial, marketing, and product teams - Identify and drive expansion opportunities at existing sites, including the installation of additional chargers or power upgrades - Improve site performance and customer experience through measures such as enhanced accessibility, signage, and operational processes Stakeholder & Partner Management - Serve as the primary operational interface for site hosts, service providers, and maintenance partners - Manage relationships with external contractors and service partners, ensuring service quality and compliance with contractual SLAs - Coordinate closely with engineering, product, and central operations teams to investigate new issues and implement corrective actions - Ensure clear reporting, documentation, and communication regarding network performance and operational improvements Electrical Safety & Compliance (Verantwortliche Elektrofachkraft – VEFK) - Act as Verantwortliche Elektrofachkraft (VEFK) for Germany and Austria in accordance with DIN VDE 1000-10, ensuring the safe operation of all electrical installations within the charging network - Ensure compliance with relevant electrical safety regulations and standards, including VDE standards, DGUV regulations, and applicable national legislation - Define and oversee electrical safety procedures, inspection routines, and maintenance processes for the charging infrastructure - Supervise electrical work carried out by external contractors, ensuring that only qualified personnel perform electrical activities - Maintain and monitor technical documentation, inspection records, and safety compliance documentation for all electrical installations - Support incident investigations and corrective actions to ensure continuous electrical safety and operational reliability Process Development & Operational Excellence - Support the development and continuous improvement of operational processes, documentation, and diagnostic knowledge for standard service activities - Contribute to the optimisation of monitoring systems, operational workflows, and maintenance procedures - Ensure effective knowledge sharing and coordination with central operations and engineering teams On-Call & Operational Support - Provide on-call availability for second-level technical support and oversee escalation management for critical incidents affecting the network Skills and experience required: - Degree in Electrical Engineering - Relevant professional experience in operations, field service, or technical maintenance, ideally within e-mobility, energy infrastructure, or similar industries - Strong knowledge of medium-voltage (MV) and low-voltage (LV) electrical systems, as well as key HSE topics related to maintenance activities - Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and site electrical plans within MV/LV infrastructure environments - Experience managing external service providers, contractors, and technical partners - Willingness to travel regularly within Germany and Austria, sometimes at short notice, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset; a valid driver’s licence is required - Availability for off-hours calls and operational assignments when required - Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly when working with external partners and cross-functional teams - Fluency in German and English (written and spoken);
