GTM Advisor, JAPAC
The GTM Advisor, APAC will serve as a high-impact independent consultant responsible for accelerating Relo Metrics' market penetration and business development within the Japanese sports and entertainment sponsorship landscape. This role is focused on defining and executing a comprehensive market entry strategy, identifying new target segments (agencies, rights holders, and brands), and actively building a qualified new business pipeline to drive immediate revenue growth.
What You'll be Doing
- Market & Competitor Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on the Japanese sponsorship landscape and rigorously analyze competitor offerings to assess market opportunity and identify untapped target clients (agencies, rights holders, and brands).
- Strategic GTM Planning: Develop a comprehensive business development strategy tailored to the Japanese market, including defining the optimal Go-to-Market (GTM) plan and penetration strategies for key client segments.
- Partnership & Awareness Strategy: Identify potential strategic partners to facilitate market entry and expansion, and outline strategies for raising brand awareness of Relo Metrics and its solutions in Japan (Marketing and Communications Plan).
- New Business Lead Generation: Develop and execute the plan for new business lead generation and sales, focusing specifically on acquiring new logos within the identified target segments.
- Pipeline Creation & Management: Actively build, manage, and report on a robust, qualified new business pipeline across the Japanese sports and entertainment industry.
- Client Relationship Development: Develop and nurture relationships with potential clients, strategic partners, and influential figures to support the growth of the sales pipeline and facilitate contract negotiation.
- Sales & Operations Enablement: Provide project support for new and incoming projects (including existing client upsells) and customize sales collateral and presentations tailored to the Japanese market to ensure a seamless sales-to-operations process.
- Performance Reporting & Communication: Provide comprehensive weekly progress reports detailing activities, pipeline development, results, and recommendations, maintaining open and transparent communication with Relo Metrics leadership.
Qualifications
What You Need to Have
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing, International Relations, or a related field.
- 5+ years of demonstrated success in B2B sales, business development, or GTM strategy, with a deep focus on the Japanese market.
- Extensive existing network within the Japanese sports, media, sponsorship, or agency landscape (e.g., Dentsu, Hakuhodo, rights holders, and major brands).
- Proven ability to operate independently as a consultant or senior individual contributor, driving measurable revenue growth.
