Grant Writer for Nonprofit Maternal Health Initiatives

We are a maternal health organization based in Ohio focused on improving outcomes for moms and babies through community-based programs and clinical support. We have an existing grant proposal currently under review for a 6-figure funding opportunity, and the funder has requested specific revisions and clarifications. We are seeking an experienced grant editor/consultant (not full writer) to refine and strengthen our proposal based on reviewer feedback. Scope of Work: Review full grant proposal and reviewer comments Revise and strengthen narrative sections for clarity, alignment, and impact Ensure proposal directly addresses funder feedback and priorities Improve flow, structure, and persuasiveness without changing core content Maintain voice and mission of the organization Ideal Candidate: Proven experience with awarded grants (please include examples) Experience with public health, maternal health, Medicaid, or community-based programs Strong editing and strategic writing skills (not just grammar edits) Ability to interpret reviewer feedback and translate it into actionable revisions Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines Project Details: Type: One-time project (not ongoing) Timeline: 7–10 days (must be able to start immediately) Budget: $300–$600 fixed (depending on experience) To Apply: Please include: Brief summary of relevant experience Examples of funded or revised grants (if available) Your approach to revising a near-funded proposal based on reviewer feedback We are looking to move quickly and will be selecting a candidate within 48 hours.
