Job Description:
As an Independent Freight Agent, you will act as the primary point of contact between shippers and carriers, responsible for managing all aspects of freight coordination. Your key role will involve:

Sales and Lead Generation: Prospecting for new clients and maintaining relationships with existing customers.

Freight Coordination: Matching loads with available carriers, negotiating rates, and ensuring timely delivery.

Customer Service: Providing excellent service to both shippers and carriers, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues as they arise.

Tracking and Reporting: Monitoring shipments, updating clients on status, and maintaining accurate records in our system.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain a network of shippers and carriers to ensure successful freight operations.

Negotiate freight rates and terms with both customers and carriers.

Ensure timely pickup and delivery of freight by coordinating with drivers and customers.

Provide status updates and proactive communication to all stakeholders.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system.

Requirements:

Proven experience in freight sales, logistics, or transportation.
